User Ratings and Reviews
4 Stars I can’t really complain…
I bought this sight for my AK-47, mounted on a UTG side-rail optics mount. Put simply, this sight does exactly what it’s supposed to do: it puts the dot on what you want to shoot. Sure, the dot’s not quite as crisp as a 600$ Eotech, but you paid 30$ for it. Even with my AK, which has quite a bit of recoil, it’s kept its zero after 200 rounds. I recommend it if you’re on a budget.
1 Stars Does not fit!
I just recived this in the mail, went to put on my A5 which it says it is for and it does not fit on my rail the screws that go through will not let it sit on the rail low enough to grip on to the rail! It seems like good item if it was able to on my gun!
4 Stars Can help with accuracy
This is a good upgrade for someone looking for improved accuracy from Tippmann 98. I found open sights of 98 model uncomfortable to use and upgraded to this scope. It’s pretty basic and does not have a scale or something to help you zero it in for different distances. You just have to get used to compensating for distance. You will get a decent accuracy with straight line of sight. I was able to take out 3 people with less than 20 balls. However don’t expect perfect sniper accuracy, not with paintballs that don’t want to fly straight by design. Don’t expect quick shots - mask does get in the way (I suggest getting a low profile stock… maybe JCS Combat folding stock with RVA), so if you are detected before you get into position you will get shot by a person that can shoot faster. I like transparent covers - I keep them on and pray that some ball does not destroy them (they don’t look very tough). The price is right and construction feels solid. Overall it is decent inexpensive scope - good match for an inexpensive marker like T98 (compared to A5 of course).
5 Stars A Really Great Product
I use this product on an Airsoft AEG. Initially I bought it because it looked cool on the gun and the price of the product was fantastic.
The fit and finish of this thing is simply awesome. It is all metal with a flat black finish. It feels substantial (not some plastic toy). It comes with two batteries, one installed and another packed with the sight.
When I first got the thing, I was playing with it to figure out the dials and mounts. I put back in the box, and by mistake, I left it on. Two days later I opened it to mount it on the AEG and it was still working. That weekend, I played an Airsoft game (all day) using the sight with the same battery. It was hot and humid on the field and this thing never fogged. I cannot say the same for my stupid goggles.
In bright light and low light, this thing works great. Make sure you mount it high. Either on the rail mount riser platform, or on top of the carry handle (if you are using an M4).
